The aquaduct was, for me at least, the way to get to the famous steps in this part of town. People don't usually walk there, at least not tourists. |

On the plaza there was this, a monument to Rio and the natives that once lived here. Sorry about the shot, there were unsavory types moving closer and I exied quickly. |

This will certainly a well policed square during the Olympic games, and all around buildings were being renovated.. |

Before calling it a very excellent day and returning to Botafogo, I went to view this great soccer stadium that will feature big during the 2016 Olympics |

Wating for my Metro train back, it's above ground here in the suburbs, I noticed these colorful municipal trains coming and going in another part of the station |
